Depth Charge: Remarkable Creatures from the Deep
World Oceans Day is upon us and with it comes the chance, and indeed, the necessity to reflect upon the state of the oceans and the fate of all the creatures within them. With estimates of multiple millions of yet undiscovered species lurking in the depths and recesses of the deep blues, the mind can but boggle at the possibilities in uniqueness of form and behaviours that these elusive creatures may possess. These photographs are but a small taster of what the mysterious waters of our world have to offer on their menu of biodiversity.
Let’s just hope they don’t all end up battered and deep-fried and never to be seen again. Shall we all do our bit to ‘pass’ on the ketchup, folks?…
